What Are Essential Oils?
April 29, 2009 by Jason58
Essential oils are concentrated liquid compounds which hold the aromatic scents from plants. They come from plants, flowers, bark and the skins of fruits such as orange or lemon. Essential oils are essential in that they carry the essence or the most important part of the plant. In other words, they have the essential smell of the source plant from which they came.
Essential oils are normally extracted through a simple distillation process. The plant, flower, bark, or whatever source material is preferred, is placed into a flask over heated water. As the water is heated the steam passes over the source material causing them to become a volatile gas. The gas then flows through a coil to a receiving flask, where once it cools, it condenses to a liquid form. This resultant liquid form is the essence.
Essential oils are used all around us. They are used in perfumes, colognes, cosmetics and bath products. They are used in soaps. They are used in our foods and drinks as flavors. Many of the citric oils such as orange and lemon are used in cleaning products. Essential oils are used in scenting incense and and many household cleaning products.
They are even used in aromatherapy where the essential oil diffusers are used to help to spread their scents around an area.
You can buy essential oils in a number of places. You’ll find them in health stores, department stores, the Internet, and even a number of grocery stores sell them.
Before using an essential oil, you should be very careful with it. They are extremely concentrated and if put directly on the skin or sensitive body area, they can “burn” it. Their intense concentration is why only a drop or two can impart a huge scent to a large body of liquid.

Eating more olive oil could help prevent ulcerative colitis, according to a new study co-ordinated by medical researchers at the University of East Anglia (UEA).
Very nice merchandise!
I don't want to know what my husband spent today on household cleaning products, but two rooms are clean and the floors are polished. Yeah!
Never let this woman breed, let alone service a vehicle. If you just keep adding oil (overfill it) and never change it you could blow out the crankshaft seal, losing all your oil while driving. And never changing oil is asking for an engine replacement.
