Have your friends decided where you want to go on your summer vacation? You are not alone, most families have not yet decided where they want to go. It can be a quite time consuming activity to find that perfect vacation escape, so explore the choices for your North Carolina Tourism. You will find lots of alternatives and it certainly will not be an easy choice!
Good news, if you are careful and appreciate the commitment to do some planning, it will make your summer vacation exciting and one of those “family stories” that you will cherish forever. The most common mistake people experience is first choosing a “destination.” The ideal vacations begin when you first choose “what you want to do”! Do you want to go hiking, surfing on a beach, playing and relaxing at a pool, or touring educational or historical locations? By choosing “what you want to do” first, you are off to the best start of selecting that perfect family tourism destination!
Since you know “what you want to do” – you can sift through the various tourism destination areas and discover those appealing attractions that you hope to go see or do. By taking a little time planning, you can also find those destinations that have a variety of attractions that are interesting to both you and your inclusive family. Online travel guides are invaluable that can help you choose detailed information about events that are more detailed than a simple attraction name and address. Once you know “what” you want to do and “where” you want to go, a professional high quality online North Carolina attraction guide will provide you a substantial article describing each attraction to help you make an educated decision about what you want to do and where you want to go.
Here are 3 North Carolina vacation locations that you might want to consider:
Idea #1: Aurora Fossil Museum – Aurora, North Carolina. This educational resource was founded in 1976 to increase the knowledge of the geology and paleontology of the coastal plains of North Carolina. The exhibits and outreach programs as well as the field studies give students an opportunity to understand the land on which they live.
Idea #2: Skiing and Snowboarding – Cashiers, Sapphire Valley and Balsam, North Carolina. Obviously North Carolina is not often thought of as a ski haven but there are places and times of the year that there is snow, particularly in the higher elevations.
Idea #3: The Alexander Dickson House – Hillsborough, North Carolina. This 18th century house, with its simple Quaker styling, is the house that Alexander Dickson owned during the Civil War. It was the headquarters for Confederate General Hampton and was where General Johnson prepared surrender papers for General Sherman in April, 1865.
As you can see, you have a significant variety of options available to you when it comes to selecting that ideal family vacation getaway. Take your time to plan carefully what you want to do and where you want to go. Select a quality travel guide to help you discover those perfect North Carolina vacations. And you will find that you will experience a wonderful vacation with a lifetime of stories.

The food is the best, isn't it!!!
I am at Atlantic Beach and I too am thankful for air conditioning! I understand the weather has improved. It was 100+last week. It's in the 90 s these days and very humid.
Two days ago, me the kids, Mom and Fred went to Aurora to the fossil museum to dig in their phosphate mine pile. With just about each shovel scoop we found at least 6 sharks teeth. The average ahark will loose 40,000 teeth during its lifetime. The teeth are 5 million to 25 million years old. The kids are most excited about their fossils. David wants to attach 10 of them in a row, to his forehead, 3 along his upper lip, and one in the middle of is chin. He thinks it would look pretty cool and scary. I hope this isn't a sign he is going to get huge numbers of body piercings when he's older!
Keep on walking! Love ya, Lizzie
