Flathead Lake Real Estate

Whitefish is a wonderful small city located in the County of Flathead, Montana. It is home to Whitefish Mountain Resort,( part of Flathead Lake Real Estate)a heavily used ski resort, and to Montana real estate companies who proudly sell homes, condos and many build-able home lots for those looking to build their own custom single family dream home here in this beautiful part of the U.S.Many visitors to this area dream of being able to build their own custom single family home on their own piece of property personally picked out and paid for.

One of the biggest ‘wake up calls’ is the amount of time and money that it will take to accomplish their goals. If building the home yourself it can be complicated to say the least and there are many aspects to be looked into.Do not underestimate all the complications involved with building any project from ground up.If you use a pre made custom home plan, you still have to adhere to the town’s codes and zoning rules. All you have bought is a house plan, and maybe a material list, but the plan will still have to be approved by the local building department in your city or town.A favorite destination and passion for many locals is Flathead Lake real estate marketplace.

After finding the proper lot to build on, you need to know where the utility sources are, including sewage line, and then get permits for the hookups. There is much that needs to be checked prior to buying the lot. If you don’t, you may end up buying a piece of property that you can’t build anything on. Make sure the town or city will allow you to build on this lot.

Since you have decided to handle the general contractor duties, you will have to get many different skilled workers like plumbers, electricians, carpenters, concrete contractors, etc.You must purchase many materials like lumber, pipe, concrete, plaster, appliances, etc.Check to be sure that all of the material and other needs are available in the area close to where you are building. We have covered only some of the aspects of building your own custom dream home, and there are many other aspects that we have not covered. The most important factor is to do your homework first.

After getting positive answers to everyone of the questions listed above (and there are even more not listed), go for it.The satisfaction of seeing your project advancing, day to day, then seeing it finished is well worth the effort if you have the time and money to do it yourself.

Good Luck.

Golfing In The USA

June 24, 2009 by · 4 Comments

Golf has been a long time sport of many in the United States. There are many different beautiful golf courses that you can be a part of, and you could spend your life traveling through all of the states and enjoying each and every golf course.

The famous ones, such as the Pebble Beach golf course, allow you to golf alongside some of the best golfers in the world. You might get to see a tournament, and you might get to play a round of golf knowing that there are professionals a couple of holes ahead of you.

The most amazing thing about the sport of golf in this United States is that no matter which state you are in you can golf in a place that is completely different and beautiful. Golfing alongside deer and nature in wooded golf courses in states like Virginia and Vermont gives you a chance to come to grips with nature and to explore the beauty of being alone in the woods with your golf club and your ball. However, golfing near the ocean, in course in Oregon, Florida, or California, as well as any other bordering state, gives you a chance to be in a fresh and amazing environment, where you can look out on great expanses of beauty and commune with the ocean in that way. If neither of these seems like it might interest you, try the golf courses in the Midwest states. Golfing in Wyoming or South Dakota or Iowa gives you chance to look at the beauty of nothingness – areas where you can see for miles and miles and see nothing but flat land. These public golf courses give you wonderful opportunities to see the sunsets on the prairies of our fine country. If mountains are your thing, golfing against these backdrops in Utah or Montana is a great idea because the rugged terrain that you will encounter can be matched like no other in the world.

Those that do not know golf in the United States feel that each golf course is the same. The beauty of this sport lies in the fact that no matter where you go, even if you are performing the same motions, you’ll be surrounded by something completely different each time, and you’ll be allowed to find ways to give yourself the chance to have this beauty with you no matter where you golf in the United States.

Loft Beds and a Small Room

May 30, 2009 by · 2 Comments

Here in Helena, Montana, we have created an entire area that dwells in the freshly formed tumbleweed home designs. Now these new dwellings are a giant change from what we as Americans have become accustomed to. Instead of 3 and 4,000 square foot homes, what we have here is closer to 3, or 400 square foot.

Now, I know what your wondering, how in the world do you live in that? Well, the solution was loft beds, standing showers, microwave ovens, tiny stoves, small refrigerators, micro, small, and more micro. We have revealed that in these economic times, and in comparison to other national standards, these smaller options are a real solution. The loft beds, create a giant amount of area.

Some of these models come with the popular Murphy bed functions, but the Morphy’s don’t double as usable spaces, in most cases. I couldn’t promote these things, unless I had lived in them myself, so for three years, I lived in the 250sq foot model. Now, granted, I’m a single guy, and I have been a bachelor for the past ten years, but it really wasn’t that uncomfortable at all. I had this really great kids metal loft bed, and just about every feature available, and I was good.

My only problem, was the wind. When the winds kicked up to about 50, or 60 miles an hour, or better, it was a bit scary, but apart from that, I rather enjoyed it! Now when you start thinking about a family, you can consider the bigger models, and also consider joining them together, kind of like Legos.
