Ford car fans around the world should look out for the new Ford 3rd generation version promising to hit the showrooms in the 2nd-3rd quarter The 2010 focus has a more consistent look and less variations to cater for global appeal, relating to a lower spend on production – thus making up the new strategy for Ford’s one look. Cosmetic and specification changes are expected but lets see if these come at a cost. A battery version called the Ford Focus RV promises to raise a few eye brows.
A new Astra from Vauxhall that is to be assembled in the UK has a different look about it. Own one of these and it can also help save you money with a lower insurance group and enviable Co2 emissions. Prices around £15,500 for the entry level Astra 1.4i model.

What is it About Alfa Romeo?
November 19, 2009 by Jason58 · 3 Comments
Alfa Romeo contract hire is far from the most popular lease car amongst our clients, it is however without a doubt the car with at least as much and sometimes more class than cars that are significantly more expensive.
What is it about Alfa Romeo that makes a relatively inexpensive vehicle, a car that no one would be embarrassed to own? It is Italian, which is presumably a factor and they are beautifully designed, as is so much of what comes out of Italy.
So what do people think of Alfa Romeo owners? Well we don’t really know but we know that saying you drive an Alfa Romeo gets a very different reaction from saying you drive a Ford Mondeo. This is in spite of the fact that you can pay over £26,000 for a Mondeo and yet you can buy an Alfa Romeo for under £11,000. To be frank a Mondeo is in a different class from an Alfa in every respect, apart from, well class.
Perhaps people assume that if someone owns an Alfa Romeo, it is their choice and has nothing to do with the fact that the car is quite inexpensive; more the case that they want an Alfa Romeo and would buy one whatever the cost.
Alfa Romeos go wrong but then so do Ferraris, although you never hear anyone say “My Ferrari wouldn’t start this morning, I think I’ll buy a nice reliable Volvo instead”. Italian car are generally beautiful but high maintenance. Perhaps their owners take the view that it’s a price worth paying.
There is also a slight problem with rust, which is not uncommon with Italian cars, although it doesn’t seem to be too much of a problem for their owners; they probably would be very unhappy if the same rust appeared on their Vauxhall Vectra but owners of Italian cars just seem to take it in their stride.
As you would expect the Alfa Romeo’s value depreciates fairly steeply and that is reflected to some extent in car leasing prices, although to balance that contract hire companies do have some very favourable deals with Alfa Romeo. Of course the depreciation that is not so good from a car leasing perspective, because it affects the residual values, is great for second hand buyers.
The very stylish Spider costs just under £27,000 about the same price as a top of the range Ford Mondeo but what a different car, although it’s unfair to compare a Ford, Vauxhall or Volvo with an Alfa Romeo; they really are in different worlds and so in our experience, as a car leasing company, are their drivers.
The Spectacular 8C and 8C Competizione of which only 500 of each were produced, were immediately sold. Only 41 of the 8C Competizione came to the UK and were subsequently changing hands at more £50,000 over the book price.
It’s difficult to define exactly what it is that draws people to buying or acquiring an Alfa Romeo lease car, it is perhaps partly it’s stylish looks, partly the romantic image and the company’s long association with motor racing; even back in the early 1900’s they were producing a road car with a 4.1 Litre engine and a top speed of over 100 kmh.
Whatever the attraction is it is almost impossible to persuade a client planning to contract hire an Alfa Romeo to consider a different lease car; there mind is generally made up and you could offer them the top of the range model of a more mundane, albeit more expensive car and it would probably have no attraction whatsoever.

Midlife Crisis Alert: Up And Getting A Classic Mustang
July 24, 2009 by Jason58 · 3 Comments
I really have not gotten to speak on my blog quite as much as I had expected, on account of the fact that I’ve been helping Dad with his wet & wild midlife crisis. Well, I guess it’s not as far gone as it could possibly be. You see, how he did it was to go and dress himself up like the Fonz or something, and storm over to my crib and casually inform me, in his “coolest” tone of voice: “Get ready, bro, you and I are gonna start shopping for some classic Ford Mustangs. You got it, brother, I’m totally set to make this thing happen.”
Right then and there him and me were off to a few of those weird classic car places that everybody is pretty much certain are owned by the mob, and I am just awed my crazy padre cut a check right there on the spot, for an unnaturally shiny classic Ford automobile. I mean, it really is quite item. It made some great noise as well.
You’ll notice I phrased about that sound in the past tense. It sounded perfect right up to the point that it totally broke down. Dad maintains that it is just a simple fix and that all he requires is the right part. Of course, it is not as straightforward to come across 1966 Mustang parts as it was about 30 years ago, but he insists that there is a really big aftermarket for them still. Apparently the surest way to get you parts for 1969 Mustangs is through web auctions, because you can get them rebuilt and sometimes even brand new. They might not be that inexpensive, though… I mean, these are ancient car parts.
Not as bad as some midlife crises, I suppose. He might have decided to buy a toupee.
Managed Forex, Should You or Shouldn’t You?
February 4, 2009 by Jason58 · 3 Comments
Numerous people may not be aware of Forex which is the exchange of foreign currencies for the purpose of generating profit. Others may be interested in participating but their time restrictions or lifestyles may prevent them from doing so. Having a managed Forex account can overcome this problem and still permit you to join the market with no requirement to be on the computer all the time.
You should have a thorough knowledge of the Forex exchange market in order to attain the most amount of benefit from it. For those who engage in the program, but do not know how to correctly play, nearly all of them lose a significant proportion of their dealings. If you are thinking of opening a Forex account, but do not have the time to learn its associated functions, you can select to invest in a Forex account that is managed by specialised brokers.
A managed Forex account allows you or the brokers to entrust funds into the Forex market. However like with any other account, there is the threat of mislaying the investment. You should be aware that the foreign exchange market is subject to volatile variations in the short term that can translate into a reduction in the value of the money you invested. Therefore it is important to select one of the best Forex brokers who have extensive experience and familiarity with this particular market, to provide you with the right advice.
Prior to registering for a managed Forex account, you will need to examine who will be investing on your behalf. Your investigations should entail the history of their average rate of loss and the factors that led to this loss. You can gain a substantial amount of turnover with the Forex exchange market if you only have the correct managed account. On the other hand, an account that is flawed can cause you to lose a great deal.
Like with any foreign exchange currency market, it only takes a small amount of research to select the best broker with a reputable history or an automatic managed account. You may wish to inspect the Forex website for the managed Ford’s account. You will notice that over time, they have experienced both increments and reductions in their investment. The message to draw from this is that both unforseen events can occur at any time leading to the instability of the market. So if you do decide to participate, you should brace yourself for some adverse periods.
A Forex account that is controlled by other individuals will be a great start to your journey into the foreign exchange market. Remember to depend on an agent with thorough experience with this type of investment. Invest your money into those groups who have a visible positive growth for over a extended period of time.
Searching For Colorful Annual Flowers
January 5, 2009 by Jason58 · 6 Comments
Flowers are one of nature’s heralds of the seasons. You should buy the annual flowers that are appropriate for the required season otherwise your flower plant will rot even before you have a chance to plant it. When you start selecting your annual flowers you can buy hardy annuals, half hardy annuals and tender annuals.
Unlike other annuals these hardy annual flowers don’t like hot weather as they are not heat tolerant. These annual flowers have the ability to make all of these occasions seem special merely by the fact of their use. The half hardy annual flowers include torenia, snow-on-the-mountain, blue sage, strawflower, baby’s breath, candytuft, bells of Ireland, celoma, love-in-a-mist, and forget-me-nots.
Unlike tender annuals these half hardy annuals have no need of warm soil conditions for the seeds to begin sprouting. While some flower species can’t tolerate lots of hot summer weather the half hardy annuals may sometimes droop for the weather but they will perk up in the later summer months. Since these annual flowers grow well in warm climates you can expect to see them in all of their glory in the late spring and the warm months of summer.
For people there are many different forms of reading material. For this reason DC comics released the Batman comics as a separate comic book title in 1940.
To make the character more realistic Batman Comics showed Batman fighting his enemies as a vigilante using only his fighting skills, his strength and his intellect. Unlike the other superheroes Batman was not given any super powers or special abilities. Since a batman comic is declared as being a collectible. For most of the history of Batman his sidekick Robin is shown fighting alongside of Batman.
Later additions to the cast of the Batman comics are Batgirl who is shown as Police Commissioner Gordon’s daughter Barbara, and Batwoman. The various Batman movies that many of us have seen are a testament to the popularity of this superhero and the ever growing legion of Batman fans.
Combining the best of modern technology with the sleek lines of tried and tested cars from the past, concept cars are often tentative feelers put out by automobile companies to test the waters before ‘diving’ into serious production. This gained almost instant popularity with the general public. Beautiful to behold, concept cars show off radical, futuristic designs, powerful engines and sometimes even controversial technology.
The majority of concept cars seen at automobile exhibitions such as the Geneva Motor Show are the dream rides of automobile fans and racing enthusiasts, but are more often than not only show models made of wax, clay, metal, fibreglass and plastic. There will also be a limited amount of car concepts sold to the public. An interesting example of an old, operational concept car being brought back into service would be the 1954 Ford Lincoln Futura, which after having been stored in the North Hollywood car shop of George Barris came out of storage to rise to stardom as the Batmobile of the 1966 Batman series on the ABC Television Network.
On the same note, current examples for concept cars would be the Mercedes-Benz bionic car (this is said to combine the best of nature, technology and the ever popular DaimlerCrysler engine), the 2006 BMW Mille Miglia concept coupe (based on the earlier BMW 328 Touring coupe and the BMW Z4 M coupe), the Camaro Concept sports coupe (which follows the lines of the first Camaros) and the Chrysler Imperial Concept 2006 (a direct descendent of classic Imperial and Chrysler designs). Sadly, the majority of concept cars are destroyed once their use has been served.
