My brother in law has Comcast and I helped him out with a network problem a few weeks ago. The cable modem they gave him felt really cheap and of poor quality. I don't know if Comcast uses the same cable modems for everyone everywhere though. I do know that the cable modems that Cox Communications uses are really very good, such as the Motorola Surfboard SB5101 link:
See if you can ask them what model cable modem that they would install and then ask them if they are able to use one of your own. Then go look some info on the one that they provide and see if it is good or not and buy a better one like the surfboard if theirs is bad.

A big misconception, its not cable company, its just your house. Everyone doesnt have that problem.
I will never understand why an African American can say and do anything racist and not be held accountable racist ideas, but let a white person(Geraldine Feraro for example), say anything remotely racially biased and they are instantly banisted from society. Racism is alive in this country and it is being practiced by both blacks and whites.
Obama may not be a racist, however, his association with the “Reverend” Wright, who is obviously racist, is suspect.
