Baby Furniture is a Great, Generous Baby Shower Gift
Buying baby furniture is an investment for you and all your future children or a great newborn baby idea for a gift to a friend who just gave birth. It is not only wonderful to have, but it is also fun to buy. When else can you purchase furniture in lovely pastel shades of pink, green, lavender, yellow, blue, or whatever color you choose?
In addition to color, there are many other considerations when purchasing baby furniture, especially if you are looking for a unique gift newborn. One thing to consider is the safety of the furniture. Make sure to read up on newly discovered safety hazards. You can do this through checking toy recall lists. Looking over them will education you in dangers to watch out for.
Another thing to consider is the type of material the baby furniture is made out of. Some baby furniture is constructed using harmful substances including lead and formaldehyde. Although these versions may be cheaper than solid wood varieties, they do pose threats of toxicity to babies and young children.
Solid wood furniture is an optimal choice. Even if it is out of your budget to buy new baby furniture made of solid wood, you can still find wonderful bargains at second-hand stores on old furniture made entirely of oak, maple, pine, or walnut wood for example. You can touch up older furniture by sanding and re-painting it yourself in hues that match your chosen decor. (Make sure to use non-toxic paint.)
Baby furniture includes many items. Some of these are more for the use of the parents as they are caring for their children. These include special rocking chairs for nursing, Moses baskets, changing tables, bassinets, high chairs, and cribs. But baby furniture for older children makes an equally memorable and treasured gift. These could include the following: child-sized table and chair sets, rockers, youth chairs, wood shelves, airplane shelves, step stools, vanity sets, and bookshelves. Parents and children alike will cherish durable, functional, and stylish baby furniture that will accompany the family through many years. They make a great gift for pregnant mom.

Do it yourself – its VERY easy. I just did one myself.
I bought great fabric. Pretty much just remove the one from the old chair and the padding and replace it. All you need is a staple gun, go buy the fabric and padding.
It took me 1/2 hr and it looks great.
You can also look on you tube; here is one but there are several.
Good luck!!
RT D dog insists on putting his spitty squeak toy on all of D furniture. Yuck.

The musical chair jockeying is insane. I like the idea of a Pac-16, but how crazy would it be if Baylor was in and Colorado out? I still prefer the Big 10 going to 14, but the remenants of the Big 12 North will be scrambling for position because their won’t be much hope for those left behind
What about a box of Godiva Chocolates you can get a good assortment of flavors and amount for $20. Plus it is unisex. You could also do $10 dollar starbucks GC's and $10 to Panera, Moes, Tropical Smoothie, or other places like that that have good quick lunch type foods for $10 bucks a meal. You could also check Harry and David they have cheap gift baskets with high end stuff and discounts for ordering in bulk. How about doing a voting to see if the employees would prefer just receiving the money verses getting a gift? Take a vote and talk to your boss about it. Good luck.
I will tell you just onething.

It won't harm the child, don't worry. Same thing happened to my older cousin, every time we walked into the entrance hall (she did a nice mural there) she could smell it but no one else could. I don't know the brand but I do know it was acrylic. Gd Luck!
